I have really ramped up the family photography side of the business. It has been a personal mission of mine, to get more families to have their photos taken properly. WHY? Well, I have said it before but in the days and ages of iphones and tablets, being able to take photos or a video is easier than ever, which is a blooming great thing. (Not like when I was little, my dad had to load a tape into the video camera before starting to record – and it along with the camera only ever came out for special occasions, like birthdays and Christmas, because it was so blooming big!) BUT nowadays we don’t have to do that, hooooooooray.
there is a flip side to having the ability to take photos on demand… the person taking the photo is never in the photo and that person is normally Mum. Also how many photos do you actually get printed off of your phone and hang on your wall? my answer is few and far between, I am just the same. So I wanted to encourage families to get together for some family time; to leave home, get outside in the fresh air and go off for an adventure. Leave the bags and the pushchairs, just go and have a play in the woods, get a bit dirty and let me capture all the good stuff AND with everyone in the photo, no one being left out.
wanted to create photos that captured real moments. The pick ups and cuddles. The teary, defiant strops. The hand holding, the giggles, the tickles, the kisses, the glares, the fun, laughter and togetherness. They might not all be photos you would want to hang on your wall, but they are all photos that make you feel something. They capture you as a unit, as a team and all the love that you have.
If if these give you the feels and you yearn for something similar, get in touch and we can make it happen.
Enjoy. x
