2016 // THE BEST BITS

Here we are, the end of another year. 2016 has been big. I have met more fantastic, smiley, couples who have declared love for one another. I have been introduced to over 25 new families. Seen some amazing places, faces and unbelievable dance moves. I think I have cried at over 17 weddings this year (I just cant help it – the speeches get me hard!) I have seen so much laughter, love and togetherness and that, as always, is why I love what I do and why I do what I do.

I have found it so tricky to pick the images to make up this blog post. I know that my work has sort of shifted a little and this year. I have learned to let go quite a bit and shoot more with my gut, shot what I know makes me feel good. I looked for the little stuff, the stuff that makes my tummy flip when I see it. A photo that makes a proper connection rather than a perfect technical photo. I guess that has also been my biggest achievement, to just let go and shoot.

I am not going to go on and on, i’m going to stop yapping and let you look through all the moments I have been part of this year, but before I do finally stop yapping, I just want to thank all the wonderful people I have met this season. Thank you for all being so fun, for embracing my crazy and for letting me in. Thank you to all the awesome vendors that I have also worked with: Venues, florists, MUA, caterers, officiants, drivers, hairstylists, wedding coordinators, viedographers, bands, you have all contributed to such an excellent year. But the biggest and final Thank You as always; goes to my couples for just trusting me and letting me go off and be me. Thank you for the smiles, the giggles, the hugs, the tears but most of all, all the love.
