A CHILLED OUT, COLOURFUL, DIY WEDDING EXPLOSION IN A COW SHED!

THIS WAS THE WEDDING OF DREAMS!

Becka + Brains were lucky enough to get married at Becka’s parents farm and they went for a colourful day of the dead theme mixed in with quintessentially british tea and biscuits and lots of amazing rustic touches.

The whole day was handmade, with lots of help from their friends and family but particularly Becka’s mum who I can only describe as a one woman wonder! She made the bunting, the cake (just wait for it!), she reupsolseter chairs, made cookies, sewed decorations, made jam… she was just amazing! This wedding is the result of a talented bunch of humans pulling together and creating pure, pure wedding magic!

Travelling down to the outdoor ceremony by tractor, driven by Beckas brother was rather special. With her dad and bridesmaids sat on the back on hay bales, it was the best way to start this wedding off!

Becka and Brains had a beautiful humanist ceremony complete with hand tying. All their wonderful friends and family watched on the idyllic countryside setting.

Now in my opinion you can never go OTT with decorations and between Becka and her mum they made about 700m of bunting from scratch! They sourced metal coloured watering cans and buckets which they filled with flowers. Beckas mum also made hanging hearts for the back of every guests chair and individual name tags out of waxed tea bags. They also spent a whole day a few days before handmaking and icing biscuits for the wedding favours. Everywhere you looked there was something happening. The farm lent itself so well as a venue and they were lucky to have use of a lot of things just laying around to enhance the rustic farm-like feel.

Once married they came back to the cowshed and just had a bloody good time. Food, drink, games and lots and lots of catching up. I even got to meet Doreen + Dory the most adorable little black pugs ever!!!

For food the couple had Fosters Catering do a ‘posh BBQ’. Keeping everything very relaxed, nothing formal. Guest could chose from a salad bar, posh breads, then anything BBQ’d from steak to salmon. Later in the evening they had made to order Pizzas which were so yummy! They also had a horsebox bar by The Tipsey Goose, which added so much character and fitted in at the farm perfectly.

We were super lucky with the weather and were able to create some beautiful portraits out in the fields before heading back for the bands first set. The light faded, the music got loud and everyone upped the drinking levels.

Here is Becka + Brains jam-packed wedding!
