Seb and Libby met one another aged 15. The two young teenages were at a friends house and when the party died down, Libby headed off bed. Seb siezed this oppertunity and followed Libby but was quickly given the shut down. After some persistence they ended up kissing and the rest is history!
Seb and Libby fell in love with Silchester Farm from the day they walked in and I did excatly the same. Situated in the heart of historic Silchester, the farm has such a super relaxed feel to it and felt like a home away from home. The whole place has serious style, a sort of modern rustic vibe with beautiful finishing touches. The entire space has been thought about properly and nothing overlooked. This is not just another ‘wedding venue’.
Silchester Farm is really rather special and I know it is only going to get better with age. (The mega bonus is, it is only 20 minutes down the road from me!)
Opting for an unplugged ceremoney outside, under the pavilion which sits on the bank of Silchesters lake, surrounded by willow and water iris, Seb and Libby said their vows and their was not a dry eye left, myself included. It was so very clear to see just how much these two love each other and also how much they are loved by everyone else. Libby’s mum and brother did a reading together and I think that is what set most people off!
After the ceremony and when the drinks and nibbles were flowing, I took Seb + Libby off for photos and to explore the stunning grounds of the Farm. I was simply spoilt for choice but my absoloute favourte spot was the Dutch Barn! Lovely Al took us all up to the meadow, in the Land Rover. We past the sheep and the pigs and had a stunning view of the farm from the top. I always, always encourage my couples to take a few minutes out and to step back and just watch. It was a fab spot to do just this.
As the sun started to set the meal had been eaten and the speeches done, people were ready to party. Everyone made there way over to the Cow Shed for a bit of pudding, some more live music and a round of Espresso Martinis.
This is the wedding of Libby + Seb and the very first wedding to ever take place at Silchester Farm (what a treat!)
