Nasim + Matthew were made for one another. Madly in love and so unbelievably cute together. Two very gentle and kind souls. Nasim got in touch with me way back in June 2014 and described the sort of day that they wanted to create at Caswell House.
Straight from the off I knew we were going to get along. Rustic, romantic, wooden beams, soft pastel colors and a barn. These were the words she said to me. Along with explaining how very important photography was to both her and Matthew. As a couple they totally got it, they totally understood and fully respected me, my work and what I would do on the day. More than anything they totally trusted my judgement and that means so much.
They did not get a lovely bluebird day they had heavy, heavy, constant, wet rain – THAT DID NOT STOP. But they just accepted it and fully embraced it. They were never going to let it stop them from getting outside and having photos taken. Because of this, they got some awesome shots that could never have been done had the sun of been shining.
So this is a lesson to all my couples – RAIN DOES NOT RUIN YOUR WEDDING DAY. If it happens to start falling from the sky, stick two fingers up in the air and literally say f* it. Grab a brolly, grab your friends and have fun. It is your wedding day. THE BEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE. The dress can be cleaned, shoes can be buffed, make up and hair can be tamed after. Get outside and enjoy every second of it.
